Welcome Letter
You are cordially invited to attend this meeting which will
present new technologies appropriate for both advanced and
early stage clinical trials, and will be of interest to research
workers in all aspects of translational research in cancer.
The topics selected are relevant to
researchers in the majority of solid tumours. The
meeting has a European orientation, and has been developed in collaboration with the UK
Experimental Cancer Medical Centres.
Expert chairpersons and rapporteurs will comment on these presentations and technologies, as well as reviewing how these may be used in future design of translational studies.
Liverpool is easily accessible by rail from most UK destinations and there are scheduled KLM
flights and many budget ones with airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair direct to Liverpool
airport, which is 30 minutes by direct bus to the city centre, from which it is a short walk downhill
to the waterfront Convention Centre.
Manchester airport is an hour away with a direct rail service
from 0430 until 2130. A link to some hotels is provided on the Conference Registration form
accessible through the website, but there are many others to suit
all budgets.

would encourage you to come the day before which allows cheaper advance purchase rail and air
fares to offset the cost of accommodation and have a relaxed start to the conference.
